On September 22, 2006, the selection campaign launched by China’s Union of Commerce for Overseas Projects Contracting, namely, “2006 Overseas Projects Contractors of China” and “2006 National Model Enterprises for Overseas Projects Contracting/ Labor Cooperation”, was finally concluded with results released after nearly one year of preparations, arrangements and implementation. President Caoguang of Chengda was awarded “2006 Overseas Projects Contractor of China” and Chengda awarded “Market Exploring Award of 2006 Overseas Projects Undertaker”.

There were 10 persons being awarded as “2006 Overseas Projects Contractor of China”. They are all leaders of enterprises, or those who have made great contributions to the development of foreign trade and economy, or those who are pioneers in overseas projects contracting sector. We found none of them without bearing the spirit of “Contribution, Exploration, Innovation, Responsibility and Influential Power”. They are absolutely the pillar stones and pilots in terms of overseas projects contracting.

This selection campaign is aimed at encouraging models of the sector, promoting the spirit of advancing with the time and exploration and innovation, building brands of enterprises who engage in overseas projects contracting and labor cooperation, as well as pushing the healthy development of the industry.

From October 10 to 11, 2006, China’s Union of Commerce for overseas Project contracting held the awarding ceremony, namely 4th Meeting of 4th Session of the Board of Directors, at Xianghe city ebei Province. Vice President Sunzhi attended the meeting and brought back the medals and awards.
