The planned 5,000 TPY High-purity Polysilicon Material Project of China Nanbo Group, the largest scale of its kind in China was having foundation-laying ceremony on Oct.22, 2006 at Nanbo’s Yichang Polysilicon Material Base. Chengda’s Vice President Lu Zheyu, Project Manager Ning Cikang and Xuwen attended the ceremony.

Guided by the new national industrial policy of vigorously promoting circulating economy and developing new energy, China Nanbo Group and Yichang Liyuan Development Co. Ltd. of Hongkong Huayi Co. Ltd jointly invested and built up Yichang Polysilion Material Base, where high-purity polysilicon material is to be produced. The project is planned to occupy an area of 1500mu, with annual capacity of 5,000 tons of polysilicon.

The target of Phase I of the Project is to yield 1,500 tons of high-purity polysilicon per year. It’s planned to have Phase I finished within two years, with investment of 0.78 billion RMB. The internal profit rate for the investment is expected to reach 49.48%. Static recovery period (excluding construction period) is 2.61 years.

This Project is jointly designed by Chengda Engineering Corporation of China and Russian National Rare Metal Study & Design Institute, which will blend advanced process equipment of the world. It is the fruit born by sincere cooperation between Chengda and China Nanbo Group and Russian National Rare Metal Study & Design Institute.
