With the effort of all Chengda members, and sincere cooperation of China International Trust& Investment Company(CITIC), as well as the diligence and hard work of all members of the project team, after 4 years of endeavor of all parts including CITIC, Chengda, Uzbekistan, all construction subcontractors, vendors and start-up team members, KUNGRAD Soda Ash plant project was undergoing commissioning at local time16:16 on Aug. 3rd, 2006, and at 18:26 products heavy soda ash were generated; and at 23:10 light soda ash (i.e. final product—soda ash) obtained. This signals that the commissioning work has completed, and the process flow of the soda ash plant has got through.

With the products coming out, the whole plant cheered with joy. Members from both China and Uzbekistan including Chairman of Chemical Industry of Uzbekistan swarmed into the heavy soda ash workshop to take a first look at the first batch of products, sharing the happiness of success. On the evening of the same day, Chairman of Chemical Industry of Uzbekistan met with Mr. Academician Zhou Guangyao, and start-up manager Wang Anying, expressing his hearty gratitude for Chengda’s persistent endeavor in construction of the soda ash plant, which contributes to the successful commissioning of the soda ash plant.
