Oct. 16, 2007, the largest completed single-train Plant: Hainan 600,000 tpy Methanol Project of China Blue Chemical Ltd. passed the Final Check and Acceptance. And this project is designed by Chengda Engineering Corp. of China.
LURGI’s patent is adopted in this plant with natural gas as the raw material. This patent is competently shorter in process flow and is lower in the energy consumption; it is the most Advanced Technology in the world. The project is strictly supervised by QHSE system so as to achieve the clean, entironmental and enlightened production.
The Project construction was started up on Sep 6, 2004, and was finished on Sep 12, 2006, which was 34 days earlier than the plan. It passed the performance assess on Dec 9, 2006. It created a record of 157 days’ long-term performance and went well with the production till now; and during the first three months, it brought the benefit of 100 million RMB to the company.
During the project construction, based on the theory of “Elaborate Design and Design Optimization”, Chengda cooperated with the client to control the construction cost under a precondition of quality assurance. As a result, the actual investment was 1.171 billion RMB, which is 378 million RMB less than the sanctified total estimation 1.549 billion RMB.
