On Jan. 27, 2007, the signing ceremony for 700TPD ammonia plant and 1,200 TPD urea plant project of Mary Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant of Turkmenistan Fertilizer Corp. was held at the energy department of Turkmenistan. President Caoguang, Vice President Wang Lvbei and Deputy Director of International Business Division Yu Rusheng of Chengda and relevant leaders of China International Trust & Investment Company and No. 2 Institute of Chemical Industry attended the ceremony.

China International Trust & Investment Company, Chengda and No. 2 Institute of Chemical Industry three parties cooperate and undertake the retrofit project of Mara Fertilizer Plant. This project is an important cooperative project between China and Turkmenistan and has obtained export loan. The three parties will together shoulder risks and share benefits. This fertilizer project is also the first overseas fertilizer project undertaken by Chengda by using its own ammonia technology. It is undertaken by the mode of turn-key contract including engineering, procurement and construction.
