On May 7, 2007, Chengda Engineering Corp. of China (CHENGDA) signed the engineering design contract with Leshan Silicon Co. of Dongfang Steam Turbine Works for 1500 tpy Solar Grade Silicon Project at the headquarters of CHENGDA.
Mr. Chen Xinyou, President of Dongfang Steam Turbine Works and Mr. Cao Guang, President of CHENGDA had attended the signature ceremony and signed the contract.
The project adopts the technology of Dongfang-Chengda Silicon Material Technical Development Co. Ltd., which is independently developed. The total project investment is RMB1, 600,000,000.00; the project site is located in Leshan City of Sichuan Province; and it is expected to go into operation at the end of 2008.
