On July 13, 2007, the Guests from Dow Corning Corp.: Mr. Brett Able, Global Vice President, Chief Engineer and General Manager of Dow Corning (China) Corp., Mr. John K. Wheadon, Asia Pillar Project (ZJG) Design Manager, and Ph. D Mr. Sanlin Hu, Process Lead of Asia Pillar Project (ZJG) paid their visit to CHENGDA.

Dow Corning was established in 1943 specifically to explore the potential of silicones. It was created as a joint venture between Corning Glass Works (now Corning, Incorporated) and The Dow Chemical Company. It is a global leader in silicon-based technology and innovation, offering more than 7,000 products and services. Dow Corning’s 23 Manufacturing Sites and Warehouses are located in Asia, Europe and the America; it provides performance-enhancing solutions to serve the diverse needs of more than 25,000 customers worldwide.

During the visit, the guests from Dow Corning and Leaders of CHENGDA had a good communication on Dow Corning Silicon - Asian Pillar Project (ZJG) and the future cooperation as well. CHENGDA’s President Mr. Cao Guang, Vice President Wang Lubei, Vice Director of International Sales Department – Mr. Yu Rusheng, and Vice Director of Project Department – Mr. Zhou Xiaoming were present at the meeting.
