From April 8th through to April 10th, 2008, “2008 China-Sichuan Urban Construction Science & Technology Expo” was held at the new International Convention & Exhibition Center at Century Tower in Chengdu. Chengda Engineering Corporation of China participated in the expo at invitation of the sponsor. Before and during the Expo, the leaders of our company such as President Cao Guang and Secretary General Wang Xuanzhou were present. Chengda’s display at the Expo took the center stage of the industry and was broadcast on all major media and TV channels, receiving high praises from crowds and drawing plenty of attention from all walks of life.

Deputy Governor of Sichuan Province, Huang Yanrong, the vice director of Sichuan provincial people’s congress and the head of the Department of Construction alike specially visited Chengda’s booth and held amicable talks with President Cao Guang, who briefed the leaders on Chengda’s contributions to Sichuan and our country at large in the areas of engineering construction projects, overseas turn-key contracting projects as well as urban constructions. And the leaders unanimously praised Chengda’s work.

This Expo is sponsored by the Sichuan Provincial Construction Department. It is a big event aimed at carrying out the scientific outlook on development, showcasing new technologies, new processes, new equipment and new products in the area of construction, speeding up the building of resources-saving and environment-friendly society, promoting energy-efficiency and intelligent and green construction, raising scientific and technical level in the construction area and sharpening the competitiveness in the market, boosting the development of construction in a more rapid, scientific and efficient way. Among the visitors and participators are all construction administration departments of all cities and prefectures of Sichuan, renowned enterprises in and out of Sichuan, from home and abroad, leaders and technical directors from construction science and technology sector, real estate sector, and design, construction, supervision, quality inspection and construction science & study institutes. This Expo covers an area of over 6000 m2, which is based on Sichuan and opens to the leading enterprises in construction science & technology across China and around the world.

During the 3-day Expo, Chengda, at the invitation of the sponsor, also participated in the “Three-dimensional Design Innovation & Development Forum”, and delivered the keynote speech of “Chengda’s 3-dimensional Design History and Prospect” which gained positive remarks from the construction sector and the public as well.
